Mission Statement:

The mission of the DHH program and this website is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young adults, primarily through a professionally supported, school environment, and to assist them in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become self advocating, confident, educated, caring individuals.

  • Sign Club offered to all students at Lombardi Middle School and Southwest High School.
  • Deaf Club at Southwest High School that focuses on DHH social networking and support.
  • College scholarship opportunities for DHH students.
  • D.E.A.F Parent support group.

 

The Green Bay Public Schools Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) program actually began as an oral program. In 1975, the program split, focusing on total communication, and using sign language in conjunction with speech and language. We have since grown into one of the best-known DHH programs in the state.

 

The DHH program serves students in Early Childhood through age 21. The abundant service specialists Green Bay provides is top-notch and focused on students' success in the real world.
