On occasion schools may be closed for the day or may close early because of severe weather conditions. Stay tuned to local radio and/or television stations for information. They will be notified by 5:30 a.m. if schools are to be closed. If parents are personally concerned about sending a student to school because of weather conditions, they should notify the school that their child will be absent. These parent decisions will be honored by district staff.

In the case of a two-hour delay, morning 4-year old Kindergarten, Head Start, and pre-school programs will be cancelled. There will be afternoon sessions of these programs.
